About Dusty Horton

Hi Every Body!

My name is Dusty Horton, and I’m a Somatic Practitioner. I help people get in touch with the innate, healing, and beautiful wisdom in their bodies.

Until I started somatic work, my body was a near-constant source of pain, anxiety, and tension, and I had a general sense of brokenness/ stuckness/ unworthiness. I started talk therapy at 12, and after more than three decades of therapy, rehabs, 12-step recovery, mental institutions, many medications, church, five different colleges, a multitude of jobs and relationships, marriage, divorce, and even a few short stints in jail, I’ve failed to find anything that helped me to find a “normal” life.

Through somatics, I’ve removed or significantly reduced my symptoms of anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, chronic pain, fatigue, allergies, tinnitus, blurry vision, dry mouth, cold hands and feet, addiction (shopping/ spending/ sugar & other substances), gluten sensitivity, spice/ flavor sensitivity, IBS, ADHD, OCD, and C-PTSD.

More importantly, today, I feel a deep sense of peace and am deeply in alignment with my most authentic self and calling. I no longer identify as broken, stuck, or unworthy. I used to walk around feeling like a black hole that bothered or detracted from everyone I came into contact with, and now I know that I am a beacon of light that can help guide others to their own truth.

The approach to healing I use is a mix of education (polyvagal theory, attachment theory), somatic practices, somatic parts work (IFS), meditation, breathing, meditation, and movement.

I now know that the most important thing I can do in this life is to help others find the kind of transformation I’ve found.

That’s why Every Body Somatics exists.

Because Every Body can heal, and Every Body is the key. Let’s find your key, together.
